Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the most remarkable man who ever lived. He is the centrepiece of our civilisation. After all, we call what happened before Him ‘BC’ and what happened after Him ‘AD’. Jesus was and is the Son of God. Some people think he is just a ‘good religious teacher’. However, that suggestion does not fit with the facts.
"This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life."
John 3:16 MSG
Why is Jesus significant?
Why should I bother with Jesus? Why should I bother with Christianity? The simple answer is because it is true. If Christianity is not true, we are wasting our time. If it is true, then it must be of vital importance to every human being.
But how do we know it is true? We can test the claims of Christianity because it is an historical faith. It is based on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Our faith is based on firm historical evidence.
Our belief in Jesus is based on, His claims, His character, His resurrection from the dead. He came, died and rose again for your freedom from guilt, freedom from addiction, freedom from fear and instead gave you freedom to know God personally, freedom to love, freedom to change.

A brand new start...
To be made whole, or to be saved, is to submit to God and His plan and purpose for our lives. It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins and to give us new life in Him.
Romans 10:9 says: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Salvation is God’s free gift to us and we become His children.
It is an irrevocable acceptance into the family of God and it is an empowerment to live life wholly and fully with the purpose of reflecting God to the rest of His creation. If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know in fact that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender to Jesus.

Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for me. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you have taken away my sin and my shame. Today, I put my trust in you and ask you to come into my life. I am sorry for the wrong things that I have done and I choose to follow you. Amen.
